Product Description

The Bounty Hunter Quick Silver is designed for newcomers to metal detecting who want a simple yet capable machine for finding coins, jewelry, and relics. With fully automatic ground balance and one-touch operation, it takes the guesswork out of detecting, letting you focus on the excitement of the hunt. Its standout feature is a digital LCD screen with 3-tone audio feedback, giving quick, accurate identification of buried targets.

Equipped with a 3-segment depth indicator and preset discrimination, the Quick Silver makes it easy to locate coins up to 6.5 inches deep. The four-category digital target ID helps users distinguish between trash and treasure, while the push-button Target Reject system filters out unwanted items like iron or foil. Audio tones—low, medium, and high—help classify objects without needing to check the screen constantly. The waterproof 8” searchcoil performs well on dry sand, grass, or shallow freshwater environments.

Built for long outings, the Quick Silver features an adjustable S-rod with a padded armrest and cushioned grip for comfortable swinging. Its plug-and-play setup, intuitive interface, and approximately 16-hour battery life make it ideal for all-day searches. While the control box is not waterproof, the coil’s rugged design ensures durability in various conditions, making it a reliable first detector for hobbyists.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Bounty Hunter Quick Silver good for beginners?

Yes. It’s specifically designed for beginners with automatic ground balance, easy one-touch controls, and a simple interface that helps users start detecting with minimal learning curve.

What kind of things can I find with this detector?

You can find coins, jewelry, and small relics. It's ideal for coin shooting, light relic hunting, and jewelry searches in parks, yards, and dry beaches.

Does it show what kind of metal I’ve found?

Yes. The LCD screen displays four target categories (Iron, AL 5¢, AL ZN, and Coins), and it uses three audio tones to help identify targets without looking at the screen.

Can I use it on the beach or in shallow water?

Yes – with caution. The 8" searchcoil is waterproof, so you can use it on damp sand or shallow freshwater areas. However, the control box is not waterproof, so it must stay dry.

    How deep can it detect?

At full sensitivity, it can detect coin-sized objects up to 6.5 inches deep under normal soil conditions.

Does it have pinpointing or target depth measurement?

No. It doesn’t have a dedicated pinpoint mode or numeric depth readout, but the 3-level depth meter gives a general idea of how deep a target is.

What batteries does it use, and how long do they last?

It runs on two 9V alkaline batteries, which last around 16–20 hours depending on usage and battery quality.

Is the shaft adjustable for kids or different heights?

Yes. The telescoping shaft can be adjusted for different user heights, making it suitable for both adults and older kids.

Can I filter out junk metal like nails and pull-tabs?

Yes. The Target Reject feature allows you to eliminate common trash items like iron and some pull-tabs, helping you focus on more valuable targets.

Does it come with headphones or accessories?

No, headphones are not included, but it has a ¼” headphone jack compatible with most standard models. Accessories like bags, digging tools, and pinpointers are available separately.
