Chad Ziegler After more than a decade of use my original 8 inch coil developed a short. Glad I was able to get a reasonably priced replacement from First Texas Products as I still use this detector frequently even though I primarily hunt with a higher performance unit. I always carry the Bounty Hunter as a second detector. Due to simplicity of use, I also use it to introduce new people to detecting.
