Works well.

I am new to metal detecting and tried hunting without a pinpointed. While I found items, it was more difficult without a pinpointed. I couldn't spend more than a hundred $$ on the very popular pinpointed, I decided to look at the Bounty Hunter pinpointed since my new machine is the Bounty Hunter Gold. As luck would have it, the BH pinpointer was on sale..... about the same as the cheapest Chinese pinpointers offered on the internet. The Bounty Hunter is easy the use and easily finds the target in the hole or plug. Only one on off/sensitivity button and while it vibrates only, the lack of sound alert is not missed at all. I actually like the narrower probe then offered by nearly all other pinpointers seen on the internet. A pinpointer makes locating a target much quicker and easier. I am happy I chose the Bounty Hunter pinpointer and even more happy that I found it at such a savings. I recommend Bounty Hunter products and checking their website often for deals.

    What is the main purpose of the Bounty Hunter Pin Pointer?

    To turn on the PinPointer, hold it away from any metal objects and click the power button. If the tip is too close to metal when turning on, sensitivity may be compromised.

    How does the Pin Pointer signal when it detects a target?

    Use the sensitivity knob to adjust detection sensitivity. Turning it clockwise increases sensitivity, while turning it counterclockwise decreases it.

    Can the Bounty Hunter Pin Pointer detect small metallic objects like coins or jewelry?

    The PinPointer can detect a coin-sized metal object at approximately one inch (2.5 cm) from the tip.

    Is the Bounty Hunter Pin Pointer waterproof?

    The PinPointer requires one 9-volt alkaline battery. A high-quality battery provides approximately 20 hours of operation.
    How do I adjust the sensitivity on the Pin Pointer?
    When the battery level drops to 7 volts, the PinPointer will emit a repeating triple-buzz until powered off. At this point, it will no longer detect metal. Replace the battery when this occurs.
    What type of battery does the Pin Pointer require?
    If the PinPointer is left powered on for 10 minutes, it will enter Lost Mode and vibrate every 10 seconds to help you locate it. To exit Lost Mode, simply turn the unit off and back on.
