Product Description

Designed for serious relic hunters and gold prospectors, the Fisher F19 excels in tough environments where precision matters most. Built with advanced features and high sensitivity to small targets, it’s a top choice for experienced users seeking coins, relics, and gold nuggets in mineralized soils. Its standout feature is the industry-leading 40-point iron discrimination scale, which provides unrivaled control over iron target rejection.

The F19 runs on a 19 kHz VLF platform, optimized for detecting low-conductivity metals like gold and small relics. It includes a 2-digit target ID, FeTone™ adjustable iron audio, and V-Break® technology for custom audio response. The 10” elliptical DD searchcoil offers excellent depth and separation, while Ground Grab® computerized ground balancing adapts easily to variable terrain. Pinpoint mode with depth readout and an adjustable backlight make it a versatile tool in all lighting conditions.

Built for comfort, the F19 features a lightweight 2.75 lb frame, adjustable S-rod shaft, and padded grip for long hours in the field. A single 9V battery powers the unit for up to 20 hours, and the weather-resistant design ensures durability across diverse environments. Whether you're scanning goldfields, relic sites, or challenging terrain, the F19 delivers precision, stability, and performance.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Fisher F19 good for beginners?

The F19 is ideal for intermediate to advanced users but can be used by motivated beginners. It offers intuitive controls, a clear display, and an auto ground balance feature to ease the learning curve.

What types of metal detecting is the F19 best for?

The F19 excels at relic hunting, gold prospecting, and detecting in iron-infested sites. It also performs well for coin shooting and general-purpose detecting on land.

Can the F19 detect gold nuggets?

Yes, the F19 operates at a high 19 kHz frequency, making it sensitive to small, low-conductivity targets like gold nuggets—especially when paired with the optional 5" DD coil.

    Is the searchcoil waterproof?

Yes, the stock 10" DD elliptical searchcoil is waterproof. However, the control box is not, so avoid full submersion or heavy rain.

Does the F19 work well in mineralized soil?

Yes, it features Ground Grab® computerized ground balancing and manual ground balance adjustments, allowing it to perform well in highly mineralized environments.

Does it show what kind of metal you’re detecting?

Yes, the F19 has a numeric Target ID from 1–99 and a visual target scale, helping you identify the type of metal before digging.

    Does it have iron discrimination?

Absolutely. The F19 offers a 40-point iron ID range, adjustable FeTone™ audio, and V-Break® technology to help separate trash from valuable targets.

How deep can the F19 detect targets?

Depth depends on soil conditions and target size. In ideal conditions, it can detect coin-sized objects at 8–10 inches and larger items even deeper.

How long does the battery last?

It uses a single 9V alkaline battery, which typically lasts 15–20 hours. Rechargeable batteries can be used but may offer slightly shorter runtime.

Can I use headphones with the F19?

Yes, the F19 has a ¼" headphone jack. Using headphones can help you hear faint signals and extend battery life.
