    The Junior T.I.D. uses a three-tone audio system combined with a visual target ID display. It emits:

    • A low tone for ferrous metals like iron,
    • A medium tone for non-ferrous low conductors like aluminum and small jewelry,
    • A high tone for non-ferrous high conductors like copper and silver coins.

    Why does the detector occasionally show a “Lift Coil” message?

    The "Lift Coil" message appears when the detector encounters a large metal object or highly magnetic soil close to the search coil. To resolve this, raise the coil slightly or move to a different area.

    What is the maximum depth the Junior T.I.D. can detect objects?

    The detector is calibrated for coin-sized objects at a depth of up to 6 inches. Larger objects can be detected at greater depths, but the depth indication on the display may not be accurate for non-coin-sized items.
    Can the Junior T.I.D. detect gold jewelry accurately?
    Yes, gold jewelry typically falls into the middle conductivity range, indicated by a medium tone. However, it shares this range with items like pull tabs and aluminum, so careful discrimination settings and practice are required.
    Is the Junior T.I.D. suitable for use near water?
    The search coil is water-resistant and can be used in shallow water, but the control box is not waterproof. Avoid submerging the control box to prevent damage.
